Post-defense

Once approved by the examination committee, the master’s thesis must go through the following procedures carried out by the student (please pay attention to the deadlines established by the PósCom-Ufes regulations).

The first step is to implement the adjustments requested by the defense committee. Then, the cataloging-in-publication (CIP) data must be generated, available at this link (Internal regulations). Once the CIP is generated, it must be inserted into the final version of the thesis.

The next step is to send the finalized version to the PósCom office's email with the following files:

- the approval sheet signed at least by the advisor;

- the Authorization Term for the Publication of Theses and Dissertations, available at this link (link is external), completed and signed.

For all these procedures, the thesis must always be submitted in digital format (PDF), and never in printed copies, as stated in official letter 32/2022 from the Ufes Central Library and ordinance 360/2022 from the Ministry of Education.

Finally, the student may request the diploma by sending the following documents to the program’s email (all in PDF format):

birth or marriage certificate;

identification document;

undergraduate diploma (front and back); and

a clearance certificate issued by the Ufes Central Library, available at this link (link is external).
