The Graduate Program in Communication and Territorialities (PósCom-UFES) has steadily consolidated its internationalization efforts through institutional partnerships, academic mobility programs, international publications, and participation in key global events.
1. Institutional Collaborations
The program has established strategic partnerships with prestigious universities, including:
• Université du Québec à Montréal (Canada)
• University College Dublin (Netherlands)
• Universidad Nacional de Quilmes (Argentina)
• Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (Spain)
PósCom is also active in international research networks:
• Cicilia Krohling Peruzzo served as president of the Ibero-American Association of Communication Researchers (Assibercom) and has collaborated with the Communication and Society Research Centre at the University of Minho (Portugal).
• Rafael Paes Henriques is a member of the Ibero-American Network for Research on Food Culture and Knowledge Systems (RIICCA).
2. Visiting Scholars and Postdoctoral Research
PósCom has hosted international researchers and postdoctoral fellows through strategic funding calls:
• Guillermo Néstor Mastrini (Argentina) has been a visiting scholar since 2022, contributing to academic activities and program governance.
• Sérgio Rodrigo da Silva Ferreira and Luís Enrique Cazani Júnior were granted postdoctoral fellowships through the Capes/PDPG program (2022–2025).
• Ana Júlia Bonzanini Bernardi (FipeEES), João Guilherme Bastos dos Santos, and Luana Chinazzo Muller (FEST) joined the program in 2024.
These researchers have actively contributed to teaching, research, and academic coordination, enhancing the international scope of PósCom.
3. International Publications and Events
PósCom maintains a solid presence in international publishing and scholarly events:
• Publications in journals such as Brazilian Creative Industries Journal and Aracê – Human Rights Journal.
• Participation in major conferences such as the X Congreso Internacional AsAECA (Buenos Aires, 2024), XVII Congreso Latinoamericano de Investigación en Comunicación (2024), and the Encuentro de Investigación 2022: Feminismos, Género y Comunicación.
The program’s bilingual output and international publications expand its visibility and reinforce its global academic presence.
4. International Mobility
PósCom is engaged in strategic academic mobility initiatives:
• GCUB-Mob: Hosted international students such as Inocência Domingos Consula (Mozambique, 2025) and Sofia Belen Ferreira Mendez (Paraguay, 2024), both FAPES scholarship holders.
• Move La América (Capes): Joined in 2024, strengthening the program’s reception of Latin American graduate students.
• Support for refugees: Welcomed Adriana Esperanza Blanco Gonzales (Venezuela, 2024), reaffirming its commitment to social inclusion and academic diversity.
