Title: Between Pixels: Game Studies and Digital Territorialities | Communicational Aesthetics and Geo-Linguistic Expressions
Abstract: This transdisciplinary project combines Game Studies with Communicational Aesthetics and Geo-Linguistic Expressions. Drawing from post-structuralist and decolonial theories, it examines how digital and urban cultural practices reconfigure notions of space, identity, and community. One strand focuses on how video games function as platforms for aesthetic and narrative experimentation. Another investigates how urban artistic practices intersect with media to challenge power structures and create new forms of expression. Methods include content analysis, case studies, virtual and real ethnographies, and cultural/social cartographies. The integration of qualitative and quantitative approaches aims to critically understand the interplay between digital media and urban practices.
