General Guidelines (UFES Regulations)

Faculty members in graduate programs must produce scientific and/or technological work of recognized academic value, following the criteria established by both internal university bodies and national agencies responsible for the evaluation of graduate education.

All affiliated faculty must be registered on the CNPq Lattes Platform and keep their Lattes CV updated, entering their academic output at least twice a year (by June 30 and December 31).

Graduate program faculty are categorized as either:

– Permanent Faculty, or

– Collaborating Faculty

Once a graduate program is established, any faculty inclusion, removal, or reclassification must be approved by the program’s Academic Committee.

Each program’s Internal Regulations must define the specific criteria for faculty participation and classification, in alignment with the guidelines provided by its corresponding CAPES Evaluation Area.

Faculty classification is reviewed annually.

Requests for affiliation with a graduate program must be formalized by completing the Consent Form for Participation in Graduate Programs, as set out in Annexes I and II of the UFES General Graduate Studies Regulations.

PósCom’s Internal Policy for Faculty Affiliation and Reaffiliation

Requests for faculty affiliation at PósCom must follow the rules set forth in specific Calls for Affiliation. The number of available positions and the frequency of calls are defined by a designated committee, based on:

– The results of CAPES four-year evaluations

– Internal self-assessment processes

– The program’s strategic planning
